Quick guide - making the forum work for you

3 ways to get information

Just register
Treatment alerts, news about UK CAB meetings, community rep posts and other important matters will be sent to everyone, so just sit back and wait for the news.

Browse and read
Just log in from time to time and have a good read.

Select the 'Notify' option on the boards or topics you want to know about quickly
If you do this, you will be emailed messages as and when they are posted. More about email notifications.

Get started quickly

1. Log in.
2. Follow the 'Profile' link and change your password to something less obvious.
3. Visit the different areas and click 'Notify' if you want messages sent to you by email (you will need to log in to reply).

How do I post replies to messages or start a topic?

To start a topic:
1. Select the 'New topic' option.
2. Enter the subject and type the message - it's just like writing an email.
3. Press the 'Post' button.

To reply to a message:
1. Select the 'Reply' option.
2. Type the message
3. Press the 'Post' button.

Managing information about you

Your profile
Information about you is managed from your profile. Here you can set display preferences and other options, including the name used to identify you on the forum.
