Title: The Make a difference Trust: 1st December 2012
Post by: David Rowlands on November 20 2012, 10:04 am
The Make A Difference Trust would like to invite you to join us for our World AIDS Day Service of ‘Dedication & Celebration’, which will take place on Saturday December 1st, starting promptly at 11am (for a maximum of 1 hour) in St Pauls, The Actors Church, Covent Garden.
This is a very important event for us because it gives us the opportunity to remember and celebrate the lives of so many of our industry colleagues and those further afield, who have lost their battle with HIV and AIDS.
We are pleased that we will be joined by Mr Simon Callow and Ms Harriet Thorpe, alongside a couple of London theatre casts to take an hour out of their days to remember.  We have also commissioned a beautiful piece of music for the event and the dedication of a “Tree of Remembrance” in the church grounds.
During the service we will also have the reading of the names of those who have passed due to HIV/AIDS and whom their friends, family, partners or colleagues have asked to be remembered on this day.
If you have someone you would like to be remembered in this service, please send me their name with a simple descriptor (e.g. John Smith – Actor/singer/friend/partner etc.) and I will ensure they are added to the list for the service.
