Post by: Garry Brough on September 11 2013, 02:17 pm
Dear Colleague

Workplace policy and management practices to improve the health & wellbeing of employees – recruitment of topic expert community member

We are currently seeking applications for a ‘topic expert’ community member to join the committee developing guidance on Workplace policy and management practices to improve the health & wellbeing of employees (  As a registered stakeholder, we would be very grateful if you would circulate recruitment information to people who may be interested in this vacancy. You may also wish to encourage individuals to apply.

The topic expert community member of this committee will play a key role in making sure that the views, experiences and interests of the public, especially vulnerable community groups, are included in the development of this guidance. Our community members are paid a fee to attend meetings and we cover travel and other expenses.

We would welcome an application from those who have recent experience (within the last 5 years) or knowledge of poor employee health and wellbeing and an understanding of issues important to people at increased risk of poor health and wellbeing because of poor workplace policy and management practices. The successful community member will need to be able to reflect the experiences and needs of a wide network of relevant members of the public. They also need to be able to contribute effectively in a formal committee setting.

Please see this webpage ( for further information, dates of meetings and the application form.

The deadline for receipt of applications is 5pm on Monday 16 September 2013.

Please feel free to get in touch with me if you have any queries.

Best wishes,

Jessica Fielding, Public Involvement Adviser
