Post by: Garry Brough on October 10 2013, 12:12 pm
The World Health Organization has issued a Call for Nomination of a young person for membership in the independent Expert Review Group (iERG); see link below. This is an important opportunity for a young advocate to participate in the iERG's work monitoring and assessing the extent to which all stakeholders honor their commitments to the Global Strategy for Women's and Children's Health in the lead up to 2015 and helping to shape recommendations around global and national accountability frameworks for commitments to women's and children's health.

In their 2013 Report to the UN Secretary General, the iERG members point to a gap in global and national accountability : Adolescent health is a neglected issue. In this spirit, the iERG requested the addition of a new member to represent adolescents in their group. In order to address this request, WHO is soliciting nominations for a young person.

Closing of applications: 31 October 2013
