May 2015

Dear Colleagues
Positive21, the North & South London-based peer support groups for gay and bi sexual men of all ages living with / facing the challenges of HIV in the 21st century, is pleased to announce a further expansion of its services, with the launch of its new fortnightly peer support group in the South West of England in Hereford, commencing Wednesday June 3rd 2015, at 7pm – 9pm (Details On Our Website)
Established in 2012, Positive21 operates out of its North London base every Monday evening (except bank holidays) 6.30pm – 8.30pm and on every Tuesday evening in its South London venue 6.30pm – 8.30pm. The group’s ongoing success is largely attributed to its safe, confidential environment and the fact it is selectively accessible by people from across London areas.
As the founder and lead facilitator of Positive21, the success of our peer support groups are due to a number of reasons; one being of a clear vision and format based on the foundation of care and support that was provided by the London Lighthouse experienced during my time there from 1990 to 1993. Secondly, the empathic care and strong support for which The London Lighthouse was so respected and still remembered for, that now plays a pivotal role within our operations.
We also provide support both during and beyond meetings, as well as 1-2-1 mentor-ship in some cases.

Positive 21 has also introduced a telephone outreach support service, available seven days a week which is only available to all registered Positive21 users who access the groups.

We do not have an open door policy. To access a group people will need to contact Michael, the group facilitator, further details are available at
