Title: Launch of Uncharted Territory: A report into the first generation growing older
Post by: Clive Blowes on January 19 2017, 10:25 am
I am pleased to announce the launch today of Terrence Higgins Trust’s new report:  Uncharted Territory: A report into the first generation growing older with HIV, which can be accessed from (

The report seeks to explore what it means to be aged 50+ and living with HIV in the UK. It focuses on the many aspects of people's lives as they grow older with HIV, including current health, financial situation, emotional wellbeing and concerns they may have for the future. The report includes the findings of 12 months of research – research co-produced with peer researchers – individuals aged 50+ who are themselves living with HIV. Uncharted Territory sets out recommendations aimed at a wide range of institutions, sectors and organisations that can push for change to ensure the needs of the 50+ population living with HIV are met.

This report builds on the groundbreaking A National Study of Ageing and HIV (50 Plus) released in 2010 by Terrence Higgins Trust, Age UK and The Joseph Rowntree Foundation, and has been carried out in partnership with Terrence Higgins Trust’s Health, Wealth and Happiness programme for over 50’s living with HIV.

Do not hesitate to get in contact if you would like further information.
