Barts Health NHS Trust, in partnership with the London Borough of Waltham Forest (LBWF) Public Health team, invites you to attend a HIV & Hepatitis C briefing session. These sessions are being delivered as part of the European HIV- Hepatitis Testing and England National HIV Testing Weeks programme in the borough.

In order to increase HIV and viral hepatitis awareness and thus reduce late HIV and viral Hepatitis diagnoses within LBWF and its surrounding areas, there is a need to increase awareness among non-sexual health clinicians, both in statutory and voluntary organisations.

Below are a series of the HIV & Hepatitis Briefing Sessions for all healthcare professionals including healthcare workers working in third sector organisation, working with communities at risk of viral Hepatitis and HIV.

At the end of each session delegates will:
   Have up-to-date knowledge of HIV and Hepatitis epidemiological trends
   Be able to recognise HIV-related conditions/HIV Indicator Conditions presenting in non-Genito-Urinary (GUM) settings
   Gain skills and knowledge on how to offer HIV and/or Hepatitis testing in your clinics or other outreach settings
   Gain knowledge of the HIV Patient-Pathway
   Have knowledge of HIV treatment options available
   Learn about how other non-GUM Departments are offering HIV testing in their clinics at Whipps Cross Hospital
