We’re Recruiting Two New Youth Case Workers

Two HIV Peer Youth Workers

SALARY — £21,000 per annum full time

HOURS — 35 per week

WORKING DAYS — Monday to Friday

Peer Youth Worker Role:

You will use your life experience, skills, talent and creativity to inspire and motivate other young people living with HIV to be their best selves. In this exciting project you will contribute to: one to one support, social meetups, creative activities, and workshops to develop the skills to make the most out of life.

As a Peer Youth Workers you will be based in our office in Islington and provide outreach in three London Clinics: St Mary’s, St George’s and Mortimer Market. The Youth Peer Workers will offer support to young people with HIV (16 to 24) transitioning to adult services.

Training and Support:

Full training from Positively UK’s peer mentoring programme, leading to a Level 2 qualification in Mentoring, along with supervision and on-going professional development.

Successful candidates will be:

Under 30, and living with HIV
A self-starter, able to work as part of a team and under supervision
Experience of accessing HIV services and community support services
Experience of volunteering or working with other young people

Training:

The successful candidates must be available to attend peer mentor training on 24, 25 and 26 November.
