Title: HIV Communications Attitudinal Research summary report

This research was carried out to explore men who have sex with men's (MSM) attitudes and beliefs on HIV materials and the underpinning messages as a means of influencing or challenging sexual behaviour amongst (MSM) in terms of:

raising awareness of HIV status
reducing (or eliminating) frequency of unprotected anal intercourse
encouraging HIV testing and re-testing
promoting regular/six monthly sexual health check ups.

This research has informed a campaign and resources which support the implementation of Action 8 of the HIV Action Plan (2009-2014).
