REGISTRATION REMINDER: Community Registration and Scholarship Deadline – Friday 21 January 2011

Please note the aforementioned deadlines and if you wish to attend the above conference in Bournemouth as a community registrant it is essential that your registration is received by the deadline of Friday 21 January 2011.

BHIVA Community Registration Support
Community registration places are limited and will be allocated as fairly as possible, in principle on a first-come, first-served basis, and up to a maximum of two registrations per community group. The award covers registration for the conference only. The deadline to receive applications is 21 January 2011. Please note that it is essential applications are received by this due date in order for them to be considered for support. To apply for a community registration place please register online via http://www.bhiva.org/17thAnnualConferenceofBHIVAOnlineRegistration.aspx , selecting the category ‘Community’, or alternatively, download a Community Registration form from the website and fax or post this to the Conference Organisers. If your organisation has not registered for BHIVA conferences previously, then your form needs to be accompanied by a brief résumé of the aims and objectives of your organisation on headed paper. Please note that it is necessary for community registrants to purchase a Gala Dinner ticket if they wish to attend this event.

BHIVA Community Scholarships
Community Scholarships will be awarded to UK-based community workers to attend the conference. Up to 10 awards will be available to applicants who are affiliated with an HIV treatment, research, vaccine information or education organisation and who are actively involved in community treatment and prevention, education or training. In addition, successful applicants need to have a viable plan to share what was learned at the conference, particularly with other treatment and research educators. Only one award per organisation will be granted. The scholarship will cover the conference registration fee, a contribution of a maximum of £100 towards travel expenses, and accommodation will be provided for a maximum of three nights (5–7 April). Please apply online at http://www.bhiva.org/17thAnnualConferenceofBHIVAOnlineRegistration.aspx selecting the category ‘Scholarships’ and provide a written statement of how you will meet the above criteria. Alternatively, download a Community Scholarship registration form from the website and apply in writing when submitting your registration form, either via post or fax. All applications must be received by 21 January 2011. Successful applicants will be notified during the week commencing 7 February 2011. Please note it is necessary for community scholarship applicants to purchase a Gala Dinner ticket if they wish to attend this event.
