FYI


Public Health INWL are currently undertaking a rapid needs assessment of HIV Prevention (both primary and secondary, excluding disease progression) across London to inform future commissioning of HIV prevention services. 

AIM
To gather insights and feedback from key stakeholders on the following questions:
1.   What prevention interventions work?
2.   How do you know they work and at what level (Pan-London, Sector, Borough or Neighbourhoods).  What key outcomes to we need to incorporate in evaluating whether an intervention works?
3.   Given the responses from the above questions, which key interventions you would prioritise?

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The events are targeted at:
   Service users Gay Men, African and African Caribbean communities
   HIV positive people
   Voluntary and Grassroots Community Sector organisations working with Gay Men, African and African Caribbean communities (in particular those providing HIV and other sexual health support services)
   Clinicians
   Commissioners
   HIV Prevention Intervention Providers this includes current Pan London Providers as well as other London based Prevention Providers

Workshop Details (Each workshop will f gather feedback on HIV Prevention Interventions particular to target groups below; all stakeholders are welcome at every session, except the last session which will be for HIV+ people only.)    Date   Time   VENUE DETAILS

HIV+ People   Wednesday 13th July    10.00 12.30

We would like to provide everyone with the opportunity to feedback their views and insights on HIV prevention interventions.  For those who are not able to attend the workshops above, please use the attached template to comment.  The deadline for receiving feedback is WEDENSDAY 13TH JULY.

Who picked the times for these session?

Obviously not someone who had any training in patient and public involvement...  it looks for all the world like a hastily (rapid?!) organised series of events to meet a tick-box requirement...

@Mark: Got it in one. I'll be at the HIV+ one. I believe they're at ULU.
