Further resources for professionals and parents that support talking about HIV
Posted on: January 18 2012, 03:01 pm

Take a look at the new resources from the UK Family Project, available online at http://ppclondon.org.uk/uk-family-project/

“It’s Good2talk” are a series of resources focused on communication and talking about HIV, sex and relationships for families living with HIV

It’s Good2talk will help
- practitioners in their support for children, young people and parents in the challenges HIV places on communication
- individuals and families to feel supported and better able to talk openly about HIV within the family, and
- parents, who have children of all ages, be able to have more open and age appropriate discussions on HIV, sex and relationships.

“Together” are practice sharing resources for anyone who works with families living with HIV in the UK.

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

[1] Within the resources the use of the term ‘disclosure’ of HIV has been avoided where possible and replaced with other terms and phrases that communicate the idea of telling and sharing.
