The IAS conference in Rome last year concluded with a new focus: Treatment is prevention. However, treatment is only effective if it is adhered to.
I am currently conducting research which investigates adherence to treatment in people living with HIV. In particular, I am looking at psychological and social aspects which may have a positive impact on your adherence, such as your general well-being, your belief in your ability to succeed with the treatment and your relationship with your primary healthcare provider.
