NAT is currently recruiting for a Policy and Parliamentary Officer. We'd be really grateful if you could pass the details on to anyone in you networks who may be interested.  Details of how to apply for the role are included below.

Salary range: 23,497 - 27,945

NAT is the UK's leading charity dedicated to transforming society's response to HIV.  We provide fresh thinking, expertise and practical resources.  We campaign for change.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our small but dynamic Policy and Campaigns Team.  As well as having responsibility for key areas of our policy agenda, you will also co-ordinate our parliamentary work. Understanding of parliamentary processes will be key to success in this role but it is also a chance to develop policy expertise alongside this.   

NAT is working on a wide range of issues that affect people living with HIV, focusing on five strategic goals:

Effective HIV prevention in order to halt the spread of HIV
Early diagnosis of HIV through ethical, accessible and appropriate testing
Equitable access to treatment, care and support for people living with HIV
Enhanced understanding of the facts about HIV and living with HIV in the UK
Eradication of HIV-related stigma and discrimination.

We are looking to appoint a graduate with a sound understanding of policy analysis, development and advocacy and at least 12 months' experience of working in a parliament-related role in the UK.  You will be a confident and persuasive communicator, have research and drafting skills, and experience of building effective relationships with parliamentarians.

A team player, you will also have a flexible approach, good interpersonal skills and the ability to juggle a varied and demanding workload and quickly get to grips with new subject areas.
