AVERT survey - use of technology as HIV prevention / sex education tool
Posted on: October 1 2012, 03:42 pm

Hello!

Are you under 26 or do you work with young people? If so, we would be grateful if you could take our survey (or share it with others) on how young people are using technology (social media, mobiles, chat forums, etc) as an HIV prevention / sex education tool. Here's the link: www.avert.org/extra/young-people-technology-survey (PDF version also embedded in survey introduction). We are happy to share the results if you're interested!

Through the survey AVERT would like to learn more about how young people are using different forms of technology across the world to access information that will empower them to take control of their sexual health, and also share information with their peers. We also want to learn more about what they think the gaps are and what the most important considerations are for them when accessing information. The survey is targeted at young people from around the world so we have tried to keep it as neutral as possible.

We're also talking about it on our Facebook (www.facebook.com/avertaids) and Twitter (www.twitter.com/avert_org) pages and using the hashtag #YPTechHIV.

Thanks!
