BASELINE 15 is now out...........

This month BASELINE launches a survey to assess people living with HIVís involvement in their HIV care and the impact treatment has on day-to-day living. You can complete the survey on our website.

You can also get involved by downloading Posters, Flyers and an online banner . Tile 1 & Tile 2 www.baseline-hiv.co.uk

The survey takes just ten minutes and is ideal for people waiting to access services.



Lead features in this issue:

David Randolph asks if the proactive patient is near extinction and makes the case for clinic-based patient user groups as a tool to ensure we keep the world-class HIV services we have come to know and love; a real call to action.

Sarah Radcliffe, Policy Officer at NAT walks us through the myriad of new opportunities for the patient voice to be heard in the new NHS. She discusses the role of Healthwatch and patient user groups and reminds us that the voice of the patient can be powerful.

Robert Fieldhouse kicks off our new hepatitis section with an introduction to hepatitis C and looks at new evidence suggesting a rise in injecting among gay men accessing drug services in London And Three Flying Piglets showcase their new grassroots approach to raising hepatitis C awareness.

Robert Fieldhouse reports from the annual meeting of Ffena; a group of African female activists living with or affected by HIV in the UK, who are determined that their voices will be heard. Ffena was recently nominated in the WEGO Health Activists Awards.
