NAT is recruiting a Graduate Policy & Campaigns Officer.  To download the application pack visit http://www.nat.org.uk/About-us/Vacancies/Paid-positions.aspx

GRADUATE POLICY & CAMPAIGNS OFFICER

Full-time, 35 hours per week
Salary: circa £20.5k

This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate looking for a career in policy to join our small but dynamic Policy and Campaigns Team.  NAT works on a wide range of issues that affect people living with HIV, focusing on five strategic goals:

-Effective HIV prevention to halt the spread of HIV
-Early diagnosis of HIV through ethical, accessible and appropriate testing
-Equitable access to treatment, care and support for people living with HIV
-Enhanced understanding of the facts about HIV and living with HIV in the UK
-Eradication of HIV-related stigma and discrimination.

Educated to degree level, you will be flexible and self-motivating with proven research and communication skills, the ability to develop clear policy positions and recommendations, a commitment to human rights and a broad understanding of HIV in a UK context.

You will also have good interpersonal skills and the ability to juggle a varied and demanding workload and quickly get to grips with new subject areas.  A team player, you will engage with, and contribute to, a wide range of policy issues but you will have lead responsibility for a number of specific areas of NATís policy agenda.

Although experience of policy development and an understanding of the NHS and local and national government will be an advantage, training and support will be provided to enable you to develop your skills within this role.

Closing date: Thursday 4 April at 12 noon.

Interviews on Tuesday 23 April 2013

NAT is committed to equality and diversity and encourages applications from people living with HIV, gay and bisexual men and people from black and minority ethnic communities.

We welcome applications from disabled people and are committed to making reasonable adjustments wherever possible.
