CALL FOR FOCUS GROUP PARTICIPANTS IN LONDON

We need you!

The British Psychological Society, Faculty HIV & Sexual Health is developing a service user-friendly version of the Standards for Psychological Support for People Living with HIV (see below for areas covered by the Standards)

We are looking for people living with HIV (including those recently diagnosed) who are interested in helping us in promoting these Standards to the general community. We feel it is important that appropriate psychological support is provided in a timely manner to everyone living with HIV across the UK. So we are seeking your help in making these Standards more relevant and friendly for you.

Focus groups (of around 8 people each) will be held in London at THT's offices on Gray's Inn Road, on Wednesday 8th May.

We will offer 20 to help with the costs of your involvement.

If you are interested in taking part or if you would like further information please contact Sarah Beadle at sarah.beadle@anglia.ac.uk

Please note: the focus group discussions will be recorded but they will NOT be used for research data collection purposes. An electronic version of the full standards will be sent to you upon participation of the focus groups.

The simple way to make the standards more relevant and friendly would be for some commissioners to commissioner some psychological support in decent volume and of good quality and format.
