Have Your Say: Welfare Reform in Scotland
Posted on: October 10 2013, 10:00 am

HIV Scotland and Hepatitis Scotland are currently running two welfare surveys to assess the impacts of the ongoing welfare reforms on people living with HIV and/or hepatitis.

If you are living with HIV, hepatitis B or hepatitis C, take our survey and have your say on welfare and benefits changes. It only takes five minutes and your views could make a big difference.

The UK Government is making changes to the welfare system across the country including Scotland. The teams here at HIV Scotland and Hepatitis Scotland want to hear about your experiences so we can better understand the impact of these reforms, as well as identify where improvements are needed. With this information we can work to influence decision-makers and bring about positive change, so please do take the survey and tell us about your experience and views. We've also prepared an information sheet if you'd like more information about the changes and where to go if you need support.

Wed also like to hear how services who work with people who have HIV, hepatitis C and/or B are noticing welfare reforms affect their service users. If you work for a service like this, please do make sure your organisation completes the separate survey for services.

Both surveys, and a short information sheet about the welfare reforms, can be accessed via our website here:

You can also download the attached PDF versions, print these off and post them to us.

Thank you for taking part. By sharing your experiences you are helping us ensure that people living with HIV and hepatitis are not unfairly disadvantaged by welfare reform.

Please dont hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.
