Challenging misconceptions around HIV this World AIDS Day - short survey
Posted on: October 30 2013, 02:57 pm

Hi everyone

I've been working with the Terrence Higgins Trust Press team to look at how we can best raise awareness and challenge ignorance and stigma in the general public in relation to outdated views of HIV, given that we receive a huge number of media requests around World AIDS Day.

There have been various surveys of the general public which have looked at levels of HIV awareness (or lack of), but we feel that it could be much more powerful and impactful to share what it is like to have to confront that ignorance when you are living with HIV.

To do this, we have put together a short survey which asks how you see and experience public knowledge of HIV, which we will then use in our press and media releases for World AIDS Day.

This is your chance to have your say and to challenge outdated views on HIV amongst the British public, so please take a few minutes to fill in this survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2M6DFKL and pass it on to any friends who are also living with HIV or share within any HIV networks that you belong to.

Thanks for helping to ensure that our voices are heard this World AIDS Day.

All the best
