------
Dr Fidler, a Senior Lecturer and HIV consultant physician is giving the talk on 20th November at St Mary's hospital on the subject of HIV cure. She has worked on the effects of starting antiretroviral therapy early on health outcomes (SPARTAC trial) and is leading a new series of studies (CHERUB) on potential avenues of investigation for HIV cure.

The talk is open to all, and the idea is to engage the public: people living with HIV, and all people who are interested in HIV. The talk will be about 40 minutes long, with an opportunity for questions and discussion at the end. There will be some simple refreshments as well.

7-8pm Wednesday 20th November 2013
Clinical Trials Unit
Ground Floor
Winston Churchill Wing, Winsland Street
 St Mary’s Hospital, W2 1NY

See attached poster as well

The main points Sarah will cover in the talk are:
- Would a cure for HIV mean the end of HIV?
- HIV cures so far: how did it happen
- Why can't everyone with HIV be cured?
- Update on current studies investigating HIV cure
- What we are doing at Imperial College

Many thanks
Dr Adam Croucher
