Changes to arrangements for NHS Citizens Events
Posted on: January 6 2014, 12:14 pm

Dear Colleague,

Apologies for the multiple emails regarding the NHS Citizen events. However due to planned rail disruptions we have had to swop some dates around so that more people are able to attend.

Please note the finalised dates for these events are:

1) Birmingham: Wednesday 22nd January 2014 - The Muath Trust, Bordesley Centre, Stratford Rd, Birmingham, B11 1AR
2) Sunderland:  Thursday 30th January 2014 - The Tansy Centre Church St, Sunderland, Tyne and Wear SR4 0QD
3) Exeter: Friday 14th February 2014 - Exeter Community Centre, 17 St David's Hill EX4 3RG

NHS Citizen is a project working to explore ways of better connecting patient and citizen voice within the NHS in order to both inform and ultimately hold the NHS England board to account.

There is no fixed solution to how this will be achieved and the project is being developed with a series of regional and online events.  These events are designed to be highly co-productive and each of them contribute to the design and development process for the NHS Citizen programme.

You can find out more about the project and also previous events here:  http://www.nhscitizen.public-i.tv/core/

At the event we will be providing an overview of the project to date and asking for participants to explore what this might mean locally for them.  We will also be focusing on specific issues or ideas from previous workshops.  If you have ideas you particularly want to cover then please let us know.

If you are interested in any of the above events please email us back on ENGLAND.NHSCitizen@nhs.net stating which event you will like to attend. We will then send you further details and confirmation.

Thank you
