Get involved in patient safety research in primary care
Posted on: January 30 2014, 11:20 am

The GM PSTRC (Greater Manchester Primary Care Patient Safety Translational Research Centre) is a unique research partnership between the University of Manchester and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust focusing on improving patient safety in primary care settings (eg GP surgeries and pharmacies etc).

Two of our main themes of research are medication safety and people living with long-term conditions and we are keen to involve those living with HIV in our work, particularly as there may be unique insight into issues around medication safety.

We are currently looking for new members to join our Research User Group either as a Core or Associate member.  You will need to use NHS primary care services (GP surgeries or pharmacies) in Greater Manchester, have an interest in health research and be able to commit to regular meetings (fees and expenses reimbursed).

For more information about the different types of membership and to download an application pack, please visit our website: http://bit.ly/GMPSCppi.

For those not based in Greater Manchester, there is an option to join us by becoming our Friend.  You will receive a quarterly newsletter along with opportunities to have your say via online services etc.  Please register your interest here: http://bit.ly/GMPSTRC

If you have any queries or require more information, please email the Centre's PPI Coordinator; Philip Hammond - philip.hammond-2@manchester.ac.uk
