New NAT report: Primary HIV Infection
Posted on: August 13 2008, 01:04 pm

NAT recently launched a new report ‘Primary HIV Infection’. The report finds conclusive evidence that symptoms of early-stage HIV infection (clinically known as ‘primary HIV infection’) are being commonly missed by people who are infected, by doctors and by other healthcare professionals.  Failure to diagnose at this early stage is fuelling HIV in the UK.

The report can be downloaded from the NAT website at http://www.nat.org.uk/HIV-Prevention-and-Testing/Testing. Hard copies are also available by emailing alana.lewis@nat.org.uk.

BBC news coverage of the report is also available here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7518175.stm
