Dear UK CAB members,

As part of the Taking Part program we will have a workshop on Human Rights for HIV Advocacy facilitated by the British Institute of Human Rights.

The workshop will be on Tuesday 25th March from 5:30 to 6 pm at Positively UK, 345 City Road EC1V 1 LR.

If you would like to participate please reserve your place with me: spetretti@positivelyuk.org.

Taking Part is a program that aims to skill up people living with HIV to influence health and social care decision making . It is a series of 12 workshops which will look at developing skills and an agenda for change set by people living with HIV. The project is open to people living with HIV in London who want to get involved, or are already involved, in health and social care policy. It will be peer led but we will also invite in skilled facilitators to develop key skills such as:

understanding human rights and the NHS constitution
dealing with people in authorities
responding to policy consultations
public speaking
media skills
lobbying and campaigning in the new health and social care landscape
as well as other areas identified by participants.

Taking Part is led by Positively UK Deputy CEO Silvia Petretti.
