Patient survey on the use of email in health and social care
Posted on: September 23 2014, 10:13 am

The PRSB (Professional Record Standards Body for health and social care) is leading this project (www.theprsb.org). The PRSB works to ensure that the requirements of patients and health and social care professionals are firmly embedded in information systems.

We are developing guidance for health and social care professionals about the use of email to communicate patient information. Replacing paper communications with email would save the NHS over £100m per year.

This questionnaire will help clarify when using email is/ is not appropriate and any concerns or issues this may pose.

We would be grateful if you could take the time to complete a survey that will take you no more than 7 minutes.  Click on the link below to access it.

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/QT78H3P

All answers will be completely anonymous.

If you represent a patient or professional organization, you are welcome to submit an ‘organisation’ response.  If you wish to do so, please email your response to mala.bridgelal_ram@aomrc.org.uk

If you use tools to aid accessibility, please contact mala.bridgelal_ram@aomrc.org.uk for a plain text version of this survey.

Please complete the questionnaire by 5 October.

Many thanks for your help.
