REACH study - invitation to attend a focus group
Posted on: December 11 2014, 12:08 pm

I am the Community rep on the REACH study (Retention and Engagement Across Care services for HIV positive patients). The REACH study aims to explore, describe, and understand HIV out-patient attendance (OPA) patterns in people living with HIV (PLWH), in order to develop cost effective interventions to optimise their engagement in care. Main objectives are:
-   To examine outpatients attendance patterns
-   To identify factors associated with this engagement
-   To calculate health and financial costs of disengagement

If you fit the criteria described below, please do contact me attend a focus group.
Also kindly distribute  with attached poster to your clients and networks.

Thank you,
Memory

-----------
Are you living with HIV?  Do you ever miss appointments at your HIV clinic and not re-book them?  Have you ever stopped going to the HIV clinic for a year or more?

We would like to invite you to take part in a focus group discussion about your experience of living with HIV, your health and health care.  We hope the information we gather will help us to improve services so they better meet your needs.

The following groups will be held at the UCL Centre for Sexual Health & HIV Research, Mortimer Market Centre, off Capper Street, London WC1E 6JB from 5.30 to 8.00pm:

Gay/bisexual men            Tuesday 27th January 2015
Non-African men and women         Wednesday 28th January 2015
African men and women         Thursday 29th January 2015

You must be at least 18 years old.  Your confidentiality is protected and your contributions to the focus group discussion will be anonymous, but you will need to give your name and contact details if you decide to take part.

Refreshments will be provided and a “thank you” of £30 is offered to everyone who takes part.

To find out more, please contact Memory Sachikonye, Coordinator at UK Community Advisory Board (UKCAB), email: memory.sachikonye@ukcab.net, telephone: 020 7407 8488.

Thank you very much for taking the time to consider taking part in this study.
