Posted on: January 26 2015, 10:20 am

Charlie Witzell who spoke at the CAB meeting on Friday forwarded an event that  he and Mitzy Gafos (also at the CAB meeting on Friday) are taking part in at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine on Thursday the 26th of February in case anyone in UK-CAB wanted to sign up.

It's a discussion on PrEP in the UK and is being put on as part of LGBT history month. Please feel free to send it to whomever might be interested.

Date: Thursday 26 February 2015
Time: 5:30 pm - 6:45 pm
Venue: Manson Lecture Theatre, LSHTM, Keppel Street, London, WC1E 7HT, UK
Type of event: Discussion

As further results emerge from the English PROUD PrEP study, this interactive session presents findings and discussion on HIV PrEP using the Japanese presentation style of Pecha-kucha : http://www.pechakucha.org/

Four speakers will give precise and concise presentations of evidence and opinion on PrEP, including PrEP trial participants, PrEP activists, social researchers and health promoters.

This event will also be the first opportunity in the UK to hear new findings from the PROUD trial (expected to be released just days before at the CROI conference).

This event is organised in conjunction with Positively UK and the PROUD study.
