The Royal College of Physicians seeks an inspirational lay chair
Posted on: January 26 2015, 05:14 pm

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) is seeking an inspirational lay chair for its Patient and Carer Network (PCN), who will:
Champion patient involvement and engagement across the RCP
Act as the leading spokesperson and advocate for patients at the RCP
Represent patients nationally in high-level meetings and in the media

Patient voice and involvement is essential for the RCP in its work to guide and educate physicians, set and improve standards of care, and lobby government. Through these activities the RCP aims to improve care for patients and the health of the nation. In addition to being a patient representative and voice in their own right, the lay chair will provide leadership and support for the PCN and all its members, themselves volunteers with a passion for improving healthcare.

A full role description and application form can be found at https://www.rcplondon.ac.uk/jobs/com139-lay-chair-patient-carer-network.

The closing date for applications is 16 February 2015. Interviews will be held on 4 March 2015.
