Lay Chair Role - Royal College of Obs & Gynae
Posted on: June 3 2015, 02:15 pm

The Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists is seeking a dynamic Chair for its patient/lay group – the Women’s Network - who will:
•   Influence and guide the direction of the College's patient and public involvement projects, ensuring meaningful engagement
•   Lead the Women's Network, supporting members to work effectively across College activities
•   Act as an ambassador for the College with external partners and stakeholders to enhance its relations across the women’s health sector

The RCOG is committed to advocating on behalf of women’s health and well-being as it improves health care for women everywhere, by setting standards for clinical practice, providing doctors in the specialty with training and lifelong learning for women’s health and advocating for women’s health globally.

The Women’s Network, and the College’s wider public involvement, ensures that the views of those who use O&G services inform and influence our work. A passionate and committed new Chair is needed to continue to grow meaningful engagement and lead the Network over the next three years.

An honorarium payment of £3,000 per annum is attached to the post.

Full details and information on how to apply can be found here: https://www.rcog.org.uk/en/patients/rcog-womens-network/become-chair-of-the-rcog-womens-network/

The closing date for applications is midnight, Tuesday 30th June 2015. Interviews will be held on Wednesday 29th July 2015.
