NHS England Individual Funding Request (IFR) PPV Representatives
The Individual Funding Request Panel are recruiting two Patient and Public Voice (PPV) Chairs and PPV members. Individual Funding Requests are received from healthcare professionals, who can ask NHS England to pay for a treatment which is not usually paid for by NHS England, either because a patientís clinical circumstances fall outside the criteria set out in an existing clinical policy or because a clinical policy does not exist. The role of the Individual Funding Request Panel is to consider and process  individual requests that are considered to have grounds for clinical exceptionality for NHS commissioned and funded treatment. The panel meets once every two weeks and will be chaired by a Patient and Public Voice Chair, with membership from a range of commissioning, clinical, public health and pharmacy professionals from across England, and a Patient and Public Voice member.

Patient and Public Voice Chair
Two Patient and Public Voice Chairs will be jointly appointed to the panel and will alternate responsibility for chairing panel meetings, attending on average two meetings per month plus additional planning, preparation and follow up time and occasional ad hoc meetings or teleconferences. The Chairs will provide leadership to the panel, supporting the panel to ensure that it meets its strategic purpose, follows due process and that business is dealt with within the allocated time frame. The work of the IFR panel is sensitive in nature and the Chair should be analytical, articulate and able to carry authority, as well as being well equipped to deal with the challenges of working with emotive issues and difficult decisions.

Patient and Public Voice members
Patient and Public Voice members will be appointed to the panel and will alternate attendance at panel meetings, attending approximately 1-2 meetings every 2 months. The Patient and Public Voice members will be expected to attend and participate in panel meetings and associated communication, preparing for the meetings by reading and understanding the content of the papers. The work of the IFR panel is sensitive in nature and members should be able to assimilate complex technical material and reach a sound judgement in difficult circumstances, as well as being well equipped to deal with the challenges of working with emotive issues.

In terms of payment and expenses, the PoCB vacancy offers reimbursement for travel expenses and other appropriate out-of-pocket expenses, plus an honorarium of £150 per day (for those people not representing or supported by an organisation) for an estimated time commitment of 12 days per year.  PPVAG seems to offer the same but check the links to find out the exact details for other vacancies.
