NHS NIHR Recruiting public members for PPI Reference Group
Posted on: February 2 2016, 04:23 pm

Use your experience of public involvement to be a ‘critical friend’ to our research programmes.

We are seeking three new public members for our PPI reference group.

The Evaluation, Trials and Studies Coordinating Centre is home to five research programmes that fund a range of health and public health research studies http://www.nets.nihr.ac.uk/. The centre is part of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) http://www.nihr.ac.uk/. Our PPI reference group advises the coordinating centre on the best ways to develop the public involvement function.

The group is composed of people with experience of, and passion for, effective public involvement.

The group meets four times a year in Southampton. The meetings involve an overnight stay. Travel costs are covered and an honorarium is paid for attendance.

The closing date for applications is 5pm Monday 29 February 2016.

Interviews with shortlisted candidates will be held in London.

Applicants will be invited to observe a meeting of the reference group prior to making their final decision to join the group.
