HIV Scotland election hustings
Posted on: March 14 2016, 05:00 pm

HIV Scotland is hosting a Scottish elections hustings event on Thursday 14th April in central Edinburgh. The event is a great opportunity to hear from the main political parties ahead of the Scottish Parliamentary elections on 5th May.

As health policy is wholly devolved to Scotland, the elections to the Scottish Parliament will provide an opportunity for Scotland to reaffirm its commitment to ensuring people living with HIV can live healthy and fulfilling lives.

We expect the evening will touch upon a range of issues, including welfare, stigma and human rights.

Our panel will feature the following representatives:
Dan Farthing-Sykes Scottish Liberal Democrats candidate for Edinburgh Southern.
Iain McGill Scottish Conservatives candidate for Edinburgh Northern & Leith.
Jim Eadie MSP Scottish National Party candidate for Edinburgh Southern.
Zara Kitson Scottish Greens list candidate for Glasgow.
Scottish Labour representative to be confirmed.

Venue: Edinburgh Central Methodist Church, 25 Nicolson Square, Edinburgh.
Time: Doors open at 18:00 and finish by 20:00.

Audience members will have the chance to submit questions in advance and also ask questions on the evening.

To register, people can sign up via our Eventbrite page: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/hiv-scotland-election-2016-hustings-tickets-21491432453
