Basic Computer Skills is a free six-week course running every Wednesday from 6 April to 11 May, 6pm – 9pm.

It's aimed at anyone whose computer skills are limited or who just lack confidence with a computer. We’ve hired a suite of rooms and a great facilitator who will guide you through the basics of computer use to increase your confidence and teach you new skills, you’ll be shown lots of techniques including:

– Use of keyboard, mouse, what the different files are and what everything on the screen means
– Computer security: how to keep your information safe and secure on your computer
– Internet access: what does it mean, how do you use it, how do you make it work for you
– Email accounts: how to set up and how to use them effectively
– Word processing
– Copying and using photo’s on your computer.
– Social media: how to use it effectively so that it works for you, including Skype

Learn all this and much more; we cover a different topic each week. One of our previous participants said the IT course had ‘changed her life’.

Refreshments will be provided and the venue is only three minutes walk from Southwark tube station.

Places are limited so book early by contacting Adrian Beaumont, Health Wealth and Happiness London Coordinator at Terrence Higgins Trust, all our events are free.
