HIV Scotland election hustings - last chance for tickets
Posted on: April 11 2016, 01:52 pm

On Thursday 14th April, HIV Scotland is hosting a Scottish elections hustings event in central Edinburgh. With only a few weeks to go until the Scottish parliamentary elections, this is a great opportunity to hear from the main parties on what their priorities are to curb future transmissions of HIV and better the lives of people living with HIV.

Following a recent decision by NHS England on PrEP, eyes are now on Scotland to see what the next Scottish Government will do about making this prevention strategy available.

We expect the evening will touch upon a range of issues, including welfare, stigma and human rights.

Our panel will feature the following representatives:
Dan Farthing-Sykes Scottish Liberal Democrats candidate for Linlithgow.
Martin Laidlaw Scottish Conservatives candidate for Kirkcaldy.
Jim Eadie MSP Scottish National Party candidate for Edinburgh Southern.
Zara Kitson Scottish Greens regional candidate for Glasgow.
Neil Findlay - Scottish Labour regional candidate for Lothian.

Venue: Edinburgh Central Methodist Church, 25 Nicolson Square, Edinburgh.
Time: Doors open at 18:00 and finish by 20:00.

Audience members will have the chance to submit questions in advance and also ask questions on the evening.

To register, people can sign up via our Eventbrite page: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/hiv-scotland-election-2016-hustings-tickets-21491432453 .
