Survey: Free formula milk provision across London
Posted on: May 3 2016, 01:43 pm

Dear UKCAB,

Hope all is well and nice to meet some of you at BHIVA.

NAT is looking to map the provision of free formula milk to mothers living with HIV across London as we are aware that provision is inconsistent. NAT will use this information as part of our wider project to develop policy recommendations and lobby on easy access to free formula milk for mothers living with HIV.

If you have detailed information about a free formula scheme in London, or if you can provide details about the level of need in an area without a scheme in London, we would be very grateful if you could spare some time to complete this survey. Alternatively do feel free to promote the survey to contacts you may have who are directly involved with a formula scheme themselves.

The link to the survey is here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/8FL3SGT and the deadline for completion is 27th May.

As you may have noticed the survey is only mapping provision across London - but should you have case studies of schemes outside of London then we'd love to hear more about those too, separate to the survey.

To get in touch with NAT directly about this area of our work please contact me (Daniel) at daniel.vincent@nat.org.uk or 0207 814 6729.

All the best,
Daniel

Great to see NAT doing this. We still get calls to the i-Base phoneline where formular milk is not routinely provided free.

Thanks Simon. If it's the sort of info you are able to share, it would be really useful to know a bit more about the sorts of calls you get through to the phoneline about formula and their frequency. Perhaps we could organise an opportunity to chat in the near future?
