HIV and Ageing Conference in London on Monday - a few places now available
Posted on: June 8 2017, 01:42 pm

We've had a few cancellations for our conference on Monday 12 June in London.   If you are interested in coming please email clive.blowes@tht.org.uk to book a place, also including the organisation you work or volunteer for.

The first generation of people diagnosed with HIV are now living into older age with one in three people accessing care in the UK aged 50 and over, and the proportion of people living with HIV in this age group continues to rise.

Terrence Higgins Trust would like to invite service providers and professionals from any sector to attend our Caring for a generation conference aimed at increasing understanding of the lived experience of older people living with HIV.  We hope that an awareness of the issues faced will help to guide the provision of supportive and inclusive services.

The day promises to be informative and interactive, with a range of speakers and workshops, including:-
the latest research on HIV and ageing (Professor Alan Winston - Imperial College London)
understanding shame and stigma (Maurice Nagington - Manchester University)
   women and HIV
   engaging BME communities

When:    Monday 12 June 2017:  10:00 - 16:00 (Registration from 9.00)
Where:  NCVO, Society Building, 8 All Saints Street, London N1 9RL
