EATG Engaging women in HIV research and clinical trials: Call for trainers
Posted on: February 23 2018, 08:55 am

From Metradora Project team

As part of the Metrodora project we are looking for two trainers to deliver a training with a focus on overcoming barriers for women’s involvement in clinical trials and HIV clinical research in general.

The training will take place on 15 May 2018 in Brussels. The training is addressed to members of the community, especially women living with HIV, who are keen to advocate for a stronger involvement of women in HIV clinical research. The participants will attend a Multi-Stakeholders’ Meeting about women’s involvement in HIV research, which EATG will organize on 16 May 2018 (a separate call to attend the meeting will be sent out soon). The trainers are invited to attend the Multi-Stakeholders’ Meeting as well.

The trainers should have high level of expertise in clinical research in general and a good understanding of the specific barriers for women to engage in HIV research and clinical trials, as well as of ways to overcome them. Experience with women’s engagement in clinical trials and advocacy towards various stakeholders on this subject is an asset.

If you wish to apply as trainer, please send an email to me (Kristjan.jachnowitsch@eatg.org ), specifying your expertise and experience in the areas outlined above as soon as possible, the latest by the end of Sunday, 4th March 2018.

EATG will cover all travel, accommodation and food expenses of the selected trainers and remunerate them with 250 EUR for the day of training delivered and 105 EUR as a preparation fee.

Should you have questions about the training or the Metrodora project, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Best Regards,

Kristjan
