Subject: The BMA Foundation for Medical Research

Dear Committee member
The BMA Foundation for Medical Research awards grants and prizes to further medical research. This year, the Foundation will be awarding the BMA MEDFASH prize for improving the quality of HIV and/ or sexual healthcare.
MEDFASH was an independent charity dedicated to improving the quality of HIV and sexual healthcare from 1987 to 2016. When the charity closed in 2016, a donation was made to the BMA Foundation to administer a prize in recognition of work that exemplifies MEDFASH’s mission and values.
The prize is open to any health or social care professional or organisation actively involved in the delivery of HIV and/ or sexual healthcare in the UK. Applicants may be nominated or self-nominated and should be currently working in HIV and/ or sexual healthcare in the UK.
For further details on the prize and to find out how to apply, please see the attached flyer or visit the BMA Foundation webpages at bmafoundationmr.org.uk. If you have any further queries please feel free to contact the BMA Foundation team on researchgrants@bma.org.uk
Kind regards

Darshna
