Universal Credit? Tell us your experiences
Posted on: November 13 2018, 11:01 am

Hi all!

NAT are looking for people living with HIV who have applied, or are applying, for Universal Credit, to contribute to a nationwide survey. It will take about 20 minutes to complete and is anonymous. The responses will give us the data we need to campaign for a fairer benefits system for people living with HIV.

NAT is promoting this survey as part of the work we do as a member of the Disability Benefits Consortium. The survey is run on the Parkinsonís UK website, and the data will be used as part of a wider effort to advocate for people living with a range of impairments and health conditions. But we will also be able to separate out the information given by people living with HIV, so it is important that we get as many people living with HIV as possible to fill out the survey.

Please do fill in the survey if you're a fit, and if you're not, you can help by letting those around you know about it. You can promote it on your social media using hashtag #UCandme. The link to the survey is: https://disabilitybenefitsconsortium.wordpress.com/universalcreditsurvey/

We at NAT also want to hear from people living with HIV about their experiences of claiming PIP and Universal Credit. So if any of you or your service users would be willing to share their story, or you have any questions about the UC survey, please get in touch with Cheryl Gowar (cheryl.gowar@nat.org.uk | 020 7815 6767).
