On behalf of
The People Living with HIV Stigma Survey UK and Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, we are writing to invite community members and organisations to become a study site for The Stigma Survey UK; a large scale survey of people aged 15+ living with HIV in the UK driven by people living with HIV for people with HIV.
The study aims to;
measure HIV-related stigma experienced by people living with HIV (PLHIV) in the UK
identify settings associated with HIV-associated stigma and describe the nature of stigma experienced
to describe how HIV-related stigma felt or experienced by PLHIV relates to mental health/well-being/resilience
Data from the study will describe the burden and types of stigma and discrimination experienced and provide specific information on the situations in which stigma was experienced to inform interventions to reduce stigma for people living with HIV.
