======
Dear Colleagues,

Thought that this&nb sp;true African story book, PICTURES IN AIDUCATION, might interest you as the world goes into recession, unemployment increases, homelessness increases, poverty increases, prostitution (male and female) increases, malnutrition increases, migration increases, fraud and theft increases, infections (curable and incurable) increases, extended families break apart, selfishness and greed increases, death increases due to many factors, including domestic violence, TB, HIV infections and AIDS.

Simply put, the global factors and world environment are very ripe for fueling poverty, the spread of domestic violence, TB, HIV infections and AIDS. The sad fact is that whereas the economic crisis we are in world wide was caused by the Developed Countries (Europe and America), it is the Developing Countries (Africa and Asia) that will receive the major impact of this man-made financial disaster with their limited resources. This is where the developed and developing countries keep TB, HIV infections and AIDS on the national agendas. We cannot afford to keep quiet. Silence is simply death! AIDS affects all of us!

PICTURES IN AIDUCATION is about HIV infection and AIDS education through visuals or colour pictures. It is Health Promotion in colour pictures. It is Sex Education in colour pictures. It is Pastoral Care in colour pictures. It is Soci al Care in colour pictures. It is real life story telling from Africa in colour pictures. Story telling, oral history, is still very strong in Africa as a means of communication.
We have to prevent TB, HIV infections and care for those already living with TB and AIDS, with the meagre or rather dwindling resources. Africa needs empathy and not sympathy.

The English say "Seeing is believing" and the Kenyans say that, "Seeing is very different from being told" and others say, "A picture is worth a thousand words!" These wise sayings make up the foundation of PICTURES IN AIDUCATION that build The House of Hope.

PICTURES IN AIDUCATION was published on 23rd September 2008 and can be bought online from Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, AbeBooks.co.uk, BookRabbit.com, Borders.com, Froogle.com, Trafford.com, Waterstones.com, WHSmith.com, alibris.com, allbookstores.com, ecampus.com, powells.com, biblio.com, infibeam.com, nextag.com, ibs.it, tower.com, book.com.mx, deastore.com, bookshop.blackwell.co.uk, junkudo.co.jp, shopping.msn.com, epinions.com, harvardbooksellers.com, jump.co.za and betterworlds.com.

The book can be read by anyone as the attachment, for the lecture=2 0at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine shows. It is not a medical text-book. It is my story of living in communities that have been affected by TB, HIV infections and AIDS in Zambia, Botswana and England.
