Research recruitment - Positive Psychological Resources in Women with HIV

--------------

Dear All,

I am a trainee clinical psychologist from Canterbury Christ Church University, in my final year. I am currently working at CASCAID in London, which is a specialist mental health service for people infected and affected by HIV. I am currently carrying out a piece of research on the Positive Psychological Resources in Women with HIV”. This is a questionnaire based study for which I am hoping to recruit 60 women with HIV throughout the country. The questionnaire is completely anonymous- so the women would not have to give me any of their personal details.

I am trying to talk to as many services as possible to enable me to recruit as many women as possible. I was wondering whether your service would be willing to distribute the flyers to women who use your service. Or whether you have a women’s group that I could come and discuss the research with in person. I would be more than happy to also come and discuss the research directly with yourself or staff in your service. As an incentive for services being involved I am offering to facilitate a staff or service user session around HIV and coping, or a topic that perhaps the service feel would be helpful.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Anna Ferguson
Trainee Clinical Psychologist
