==============
Using the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I have submitted a request to the City of London, the 32 London Local Authorities and also the London Specialist Commissioning Group (LSCG) http://www.londonspecialisedcommissioning.nhs.uk/specialisedservices/index.asp asking for details on spending and budgets for HIV/AIDS. Also using the tables available from the Health Protection Agency (HPA) our findings so far is available at http://benefits.tcell.org.uk/forums/aids-support-grant-freedom-information-request-period-20092010.

Already this shows us there is a disparity depending on where a person lives and informs us were monies are being spent. The figures shown is that of the ASG and Local Authority spending and doesn't include the PCT budget, this under is covered under a separate Freedom of Information request and shall be updated later.

I also wish to highlight that a separate budget managed and controlled by London Councils awards 635K to 3 HIV organisations directly and a further 2.6m is awarded to the LGBT community for various projects. More information on this can be found at http://www.grants.londoncouncils.gov.uk/.

London Councils budget of 28m supports about 700 local community projects at a cost of 3.50 per person. These figures exclude the cost of a Freedom Pass given to disabled people.
