UK CAB workplan

The steering group is currently developing the goverenance and operational framework for the UK CAB for consultation with members.

Summary of aims for 2008:

• Continue to organise 4 plenary meetings
• Continue to organise community sessions at the BHIVA conferences
• Develop and pilot a basic training set for new members on HIV treatment, treatment advocacy and understanding clinical trials
• Provide community representatives for selected clinical trials
• Provide community representatives for selected guideline writing committees
• Introduce a web-based discussion forum
• Employ a coordinator
• Clarify the goverenance and operational framework
