Clinical trials - a guide for CAB members
- Joining a clinical trial is a choice. Deciding to say no should never affect the care a person receives from the healthcare team.
- If a person decides not to join a clinical trial, s/he can still join a different trial in the future.
If a person decides to volunteer for a trial, it is still possible to decide to stop being in the trial at any time, even after signing or marking the consent form. Signing or marking a consent form is not like signing a contract. It is still possible to decide not to participate at any time during the study.
